Bourne Ultimatum
This is the third film of the amazing Bourne collection. Paul Greengrass and Matt Damon very passably made this version the ultimate one. Just how well it was written and directed shows why it was able to snatch 3 Oscars at the 2008 Academy Awards. It was an amazing production and the best thing is that it added to the endless success of the previous 2 films.
The plot behind this film was for Bourne to end all his struggles that he'd been faced with and chased with, and also to take revenge for the murder of his girlfriend. It was a sublime story line. It continued right where it left of from the second film and Bourne cleared out all his problems in the end. He revealed all the black tricks that were hidden in safes and labeled as classified information. He was also able to give the information which is known as the Blackbriar files to Pamela Landy. He then proceeds to find his past and exactly what happened, and also to terminate the organization which has been conducting these horrible operations.
This movie was a real work of art and proved for the third time that story will ultimately succeed. It grossed over $400 million at the box office which yet again proved to be a great success. There are also rumors about a 4th Bourne coming out, however it is likely that it will not be based on the book by the author Robert Ludlum. It will likely be a brand new project, and it is suggested that it will be out by sometime in 2010. We just hope that it does because it has potential to be another epic action thriller.
The Bourne Supremacy
In 2004, Paul Greengrass, Matt Damon and the rest of the cast were back for the second film The Bourne Supremacy. This movie continues the adventures that were unfinished from the first movie. It is a continuation of action and events that occurred in the first film that were left undone.
In this film the action continues when Bourne is in India with his his girlfriend Marie and they are trying to escape form the harsh past that was experienced through the first film. The story line becomes more involved as the CIA tries to track Bourne down and terminate him because of top secret information that he had access to regarding the CIA. Also in this film Bourne is able to retrieve most of his memory and he begins to recall who he is, what happened, and he was even able to recall the operation that he failed to conduct.
The Bourne Supremacy gets really into depth with the CIA and the sacrifices required in order to be a part of the organization. It also gets into depth and shows the potential dark little secrets that lie behind the top executives regarding operations conducted.
What made this movie so enjoyable is that the content in it was displayed with such a high level of orientation as to what the reality might be like. It was not just a simple plot filled with artificial information, but rather it was more factual than fictional. This is what makes this movie a great one.
The Bourne Identity
When Bourne Identity first launched in 2002 it was an instant hit! Everyone who talked about Bourne Identity was amazed at how well the movie was directed. It became one of the ultimate action movies of all times. People though the script was amazing as well and and the best part of the movie was of course the epic story line.
Matt Damon was the absolute treat of this move. He played a tough role and was really able to bring his character out. The scenes were shot in different locations throughout beautiful Europe and that really helped in the development of the motion picture. As "Bourne", Matt Damon played the character of an assassin who had developed amnesia after waking up from a coma. He then peruses his goal to try and establish his identity , who he is, what he does, and what his mission was.
Doug Liman who is the director of the Bourne Identity was really able to create an action movie and he was able to make it feel like there was a great purpose to it. It shows the harsh realities of operations that assassins are faced with. It was a very entertaining movie and it was an amazing hit at the box office.
